Student Travel Awards
Get funding to attend the meeting! We’ve done the research for you and have created a list of all known AFS travel opportunities, for chapters, divisions, subsections, and more. Deadlines are fast approaching — make sure to apply now! - International Fisheries Section: Carl R. Sullivan International Endowment Fund (due February 28th, 2023)

- North Carolina Chapter: NCAFS Student Travel Award (due January 15th, 2023)
- Oklahoma: Jimmie Pigg Student Travel Scholarship (no date set)
- Ontario Chapter: E.J. Crossman Award: Given to best oral presentation at Ontario meeting … includes $250 for travel + an AFS membership
- Pennsylvania Chapter: Cooper Award (due February 1st, 2023)
- Potomac Chapter: Travel Award (contact Chapter directly to find out more)
- Southern New England Chapter: Student Travel Award (due May 6th, 2023)
- Washington-British Columbia: Student Travel Awards (10 available) (no date set)
Other Awards
- Indigenous Outreach Travel Award: For Students and Early Career Professionals (due June 10th, 2023)
- North American Sturgeon and Paddlefish Society: Travel Award ($500 for students presenting on sturgeon or paddlefish, due April 30th, 2023)
